Kinetic Singapore recently contacted Modgrain and ordered a iPad stand for a client. Turns out the stand is being used for a interactive kiosk in the Nike Flagship Store in Singapore. Kinetic had to figure out a way to keep users from fiddling with the menu button on the iPad. They came up with a fantastic design solution. A custom fit acrylic frame was placed over the outside edges of the iPad and tucked nicely into the stand. It would be nice if Apple would make a way to run the iPad in a kiosk mode… where users can only have access to a given app. Until then, this acrylic frame/cover is a perfect solution.
